The Society of Consulting Psychology

The Society strives to be professional home for consulting psychologists and offers number of relevant and productive tools to help members in their.

The Society of Consulting Psychology, is Division 13 of the American Psychological Association.

We offer a wide variety of services.  Most common are Individual Assessment, Individual and Group Process Consultation, Organizational Development, Education and Training, Employee Selection / Appraisal, Expert Technical Support, Research and Evaluation Test Construction, Executive / Manager Coaching, and Change Management.  These services are provided in a variety of settings; we have members working within businesses, industry, hospitals, universities, colleges, government agencies, military organizations, community groups, public and private schools, non-hospital medical settings, volunteer organizations, public service organizations, religious groups, churches, and political organizations.

The Purpose of SCP:

• Stimulating the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and consulting experience among psychologists.
• Encouraging high standards of consultation.
• Promoting psychological research and professional development in the area of consulting.
• Fostering cooperative relations with allied associations and with all APA divisions.
• Supporting the advancement of psychology as a science, as a profession, and as a means of promoting human nature.
